I have never had a doctor be so honest about what they could and couldn't help with, and to then proceed to back that up with action and results. Initially, I was prescribed PPIs to suppress the stomach acid and was on the highest prescribed dose for around 3-4 years.
After seeing Dr. Nielsen I have now been off PPIs for 2 years and feel even better than when I was taking them. All I can say is that I wish I had known that there was an alternative. If you are someone taking PPIs I can't recommend enough that you first do the research around these drugs (notably how the manufacturers specifically state they aren't meant for long term use) and then visit this clinic.”
