Warts come from a virus called the human papilloma virus (HPV) and can be found anywhere on the human boady. There are four common types of warts:

Common Wart
Can be found on the fingers, hands, knees and elbows. These warts are small and feel like a hard bump. Sometimes it has a rough surface and looks like a head of cauliflower.

Flat Wart
Flat warts are smooth and about the size of pinhead. They usually are light brown, yellow or pink. They are often found on the face but can grow on the hands, arms and knees and often appears in clusters.

Plantar Wart
Plantar warts are found on the foot and sometimes can cause discomfort when a person put pressure on their foot.

Filiform Wart
Filiform warts grow around the mouth, eyes or nose and have a finger-like shape to them.

A viruses called human papillomavirus (HPV) cause warts. Warts are easily transmitted from person to person.

Warts can appear anywhere on our skin. They typically are small, fleshy, grainy bumps and rough to touch. Some warts can be large and painful with black pinpoints.

Soak the wart in warm water and remove dead skin from the surface of the wart. Cover the wart with a band-aid or sportstape to help reduce spreading.
