Vertigo is when you feel dizzy. It can range from feeling lightheaded to fainting sensation to cardiovascular or breathing pattern problems. You may feel unsteady on your feet and move your head can also trigger vertigo.

+ What Causes Vertigo?

Vertigo can occur for several reasons. The most three most common reason for vertigo is after developing a cold which typically lasts for a few weeks.

However, the most common cause is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BBPV), and vestibular migraine.

BBPV is when a crystal inside your hear that helps you maintain balance inside your eardrum becomes dislodged and causes your signals to become disrupted. As a result, you start to experience vertigo.

Migraines can also trigger vertigo symptoms. While they may not coincide with migraines, they are related to migraines.

A vestibular migraine often can present with or without a headache, but often affects the ears, vision and balance.
